COURSE MATERIAL
The lessons take the form of a personal narrative. We communicate naturally and share unfolding discoveries together enabling growth and a broader awareness to take place. Just like slowly climbing a mountain, the higher one gets the better the view. You will be personally tutored by a professional, qualified Astrologer.
There are 40 lessons in total in three separate courses. An A4 booklet has been produced for each lesson (see COURSE FORMAT below). There is an assignment at the end of each study in the form of a set of questions which the student completes and submits for tutoring when he/she feels confident. The answers to all the questions for each lesson are contained within the lesson material. It is not obligatory to submit assignments but those students who do will be awarded assessment marks. Marks are then accumalated and a certificate is issued at the end of each course. Those students who complete all the assignments for the 40 lessons will be invited to sit the Diploma examination.
The aim of the school is for students to enjoy their studies along with the mental stimulation.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Since the New Age renaissance began to kick in (around the time of the “Harmonic Convergence” in the 1970’s) many of our students became attracted to a wide variety of subjects which the general public, it seemed, were eagerly awaiting. Alternative medicines and therapies are now complimenting the health systems of the world, often replacing the old established choices of either drugs or surgery. Our Astrology course has sown many seeds. Service to others is high on the list. Counselling and guidance is popular. Sociology and its wide variety of related subjects fires up a good many of our students and especially those dealing with personnel or the general public.
School teachers and members of the police force have used their knowledge of Astrology in their work although, as yet, haven’t disclosed the fact to their superiors. It has been particularly useful to a social worker placing children into appropriate foster homes - with some amazing successes. Another student is a very special lady who is like an Angel of Light working in her spare time in a hospice. Another Diploma holder who became fired up with Mundane Astrology is now an expert in this field. The local newspaper is after him frequently to comment on events taking place on the world stage and his articles take prominence in their publications. One of our number founded a now large and thriving Astrological Society in Scotland. Another, an ex. company director, has a very lucrative concern advising the building of business teams for some extremely prestigious companies.
Other Diploma holders have become teachers of Astrology and Metaphysics in their local community centres. The scope is broad. Individual choices have often been motivated in a particular direction by the revelations discovered in their own birthcharts during the course of their studies.
Many have simply enjoyed the benefits of learning about themselves and their loved ones. NONE however, have remained unchanged.
And we keep in touch. The School often feels like a big family network with members living in all parts of the world. But then networking is an Aquarian Age concept.
COURSE FORMAT
With each lesson the student gradually builds an extensive and comprehensive reference work of three volumes which will be in constant use until the time arrives when the material is committed to memory. When you have the Sun in transit making a square to your natal Mars, you’ll know exactly what type of day you can expect.
The complete course is split into three volumes.
THE FOUNDATION COURSE comprising 15 lessons, is aimed at the complete beginner and an introduction to the pure basic elements governing Astrology. This course should never be underestimated. It contains the building bricks used to fashion the millions of individuals that make up humanity. The first lesson also includes an introduction to Astrology. Once enrolled, each student will receive their personal birthchart with, or shortly after, their first lesson. The information we will require to erect the birthchart will be your date, time and place of birth.
The responsibility of releasing students with a ‘little knowledge hitherto’ onto a credulous public is taken seriously by the School.
The first twelve lessons study the Signs, Planets, Houses, Elements, Qualities, Polarities and the Natural Zodiac and how they are expressed in human terms. All lessons are complete with diagrams and the student is encouraged to fill in appropriate segments as they progress. Furthermore, examples are suggested for students to observe in the people around them, i.e. friends, parents, business and marriage partners and children. The lessons also include some astronomy, careers, information on health and the anatomy, mythology and associated precious and semi-precious stones and crystals. Also covered are colours, metals, musical notes and famous people. Each lesson includes a bibliography appropriate to the material, including the metaphysical content, and the developing student. The birthchart is then erected and the aspects and North Nodes fully discussed.
THE INTERPRETATION COURSE comprises 15 lessons.
The 360 degrees of the Zodiac, when divided into twelve houses, represent fields of experience, the web of life in which we are provided with all the material we need for growth. The calculated birthchart must now reveal its message .... the journey of a person through the current lifetime.
The extensive material provides FULL interpretations for every permutation likely to be discovered in the Horoscope (both positive and negative) including unaspected and retrograde planets. Individual texts are written specifically in the third person so that students can initially copy verbatim and build character analyses immediately. Also included are the charts of celebrities appropriately chosen to illustrate the points raised in the lesson.
THE ADVANCED COURSE comprises 10 lessons.
When we take a step backwards we can see a much broader picture. We find there is a fundememntal order working out in our lives, our planet and the giant molecular structure in which we play a small but significant part.
Covered in this section of learning is forecasting (Transits) both short and long term. It is also possible to view our entire life (Progressions), to make sound judgements with regard to personal and romantic relationships (Synastry) and to take a look at the world (Mundane) events both natural and man-made. We study the planet Chiron, a recently discovered and potent energy and its effects on our birthchart together with Cusps, Decanates and other topics related to the birthchart.
METAPHYSICS
The Astrological content teaches SELF-AWARENESS and in our quest for SPIRITUAL-AWARENESS metaphysics unites the two to create a higher level of consciousness, a higher meaning.
The Courses present seven basic postulates;
1. All things are filled with life, from the tiniest atom to the largest galaxy.
2. Each and all of these live within the body of a larger being.
3. Each is made in the image of the Creator, in the one in whom it lives
and moves and has its being.
4. There is a continuum which links all living things together, so that the
smallest cell does not pulsate without its effects being felt in the
furthest reaches of our Solar system
5. Our Solar system has a serpentary nature. It is constructed of
energies that are transmutable.
6. All is energy, manifesting as electrical impulses, vibratory rays or
waves, crystallising into solid form. Matter and energy are
interchangeable.
7. There is no death, only an altered state. Birth and re-birth is an
endless process of evolution until Karma is satisfied and reincarnation
ceases.
